What This Company Is
Svelte makes pull-up absorbent underwear for adults managing incontinence. The product is positioned as a lighter, softer, more breathable alternative to bulky traditional continence products — designed to feel like ordinary underwear rather than a medical garment.
Founder's rationale (from the brand's About page): most continence products on the market are designed around maximum absorbency first, with the everyday wear experience treated as secondary. Svelte was built on the premise that dependable everyday support doesn't have to come at the expense of comfort, breathability and discretion. The product was developed after testing competitor products from Australia, the US, China, Europe and India, with manufacturing ultimately based in Japan for material quality and construction precision. Early samples were tested with continence nurses, clinicians and allied health professionals during development.
Brand pillars ("The Svelte Standard"): comfort first, fully breathable, made for movement, fast/reliable absorption, crafted with precision.
Who It's For
- Adults with light-to-moderate bladder leakage seeking a more discreet, breathable daytime product, with light overnight use depending on individual routine
- People in postpartum / maternity recovery
- People in general recovery and rehabilitation
- NDIS participants and people with chronic conditions
- Carers and family members ordering on behalf of someone else
- Clinicians and allied health professionals recommending or trialling product with patients (clinical evaluation kits available on request)
- Plan managers and support coordinators processing NDIS purchases
Who it's not designed for: people needing maximum-capacity overnight protection, extended uninterrupted overnight wear, very high-volume overnight output, or regular/unpredictable faecal incontinence. Svelte positions itself as sitting between lighter reusable everyday options and bulkier high-capacity overnight products — see "Where Svelte Sits" below.
Products
Svelte Pull-Ups — the only product line. Pull-up absorbent underwear with tearaway side seams, soft raised flexible 3D leak guards, an adaptive stretch waistband, a fully breathable outer layer extending through to the waist, a fast-absorbing core, and integrated odour control. Fragrance-free, lotion-free, and made without natural rubber latex. Topsheet is dermatologically tested.
Real-world working capacity is stated as approximately 500mL, described as a conservative, practical wear-condition measure rather than a maximum lab-capacity figure — reflecting the brand's positioning that fit, moisture handling, comfort and discretion matter alongside raw absorbency.
Sizes:
- Medium — 75–130cm waist/hip, 10 pieces per single pack
- Large — 100–140cm waist/hip, 9 pieces per single pack
Sold as Single packs, and in 3-pack, 6-pack and 9-pack multiples (piece count scales with pack size and selected size). One-time purchase price starts at $42 per pack; ongoing (subscription) delivery starts from $39 per pack. Exact multi-pack pricing should be confirmed on the live product page rather than quoted from memory, as pack pricing is subject to change.
Designed in Australia. Crafted in Japan.
Where Svelte Sits
Svelte is deliberately positioned as a middle option:
- Lighter, everyday/reusable options — for light bladder leaks, lower support needs
- Svelte — everyday wear, breathable comfort, natural movement; suited to repeated leaks and multiple bladder releases, and light overnight support depending on routine
- Higher-capacity overnight products — for heavier overnight needs, longer wear periods, maximum-absorbency priority
If someone needs maximum overnight capacity or cannot change regularly overnight, a dedicated overnight product is likely more suitable than Svelte.
Ongoing Delivery (Subscription)
Called "Ongoing Delivery" on the Svelte site (not "subscription"). Customers choose a delivery frequency; payment is processed at the start of each cycle. Customers can update, pause, skip or cancel any time before the next billing date, with no cancellation fees, managed through their account. Once an order has been processed and dispatched it cannot be changed or cancelled. First-order protection (see Returns below) applies once per customer regardless of whether the first order was ongoing delivery or a one-time purchase — it does not reset each cycle.
Shipping & Delivery
Australia only — Svelte does not currently ship internationally. Delivers to residential addresses, workplaces and supported accommodation settings.
- Standard shipping applies to one-time orders of 1-3 packs; complimentary shipping applies to one-time orders of 4+ packs. Ongoing delivery orders (available from 4 packs) always include complimentary standard shipping
- A flat $15 surcharge may apply to selected remote postcodes (shown at checkout before payment)
- Orders are typically dispatched within 1–2 business days of payment
- Delivery estimates after dispatch: metro 2–5 business days, regional 3–7, remote 5–10
- Shipped in plain, discreet packaging (may arrive in multiple parcels for larger orders)
Returns & First-Order Protection
Svelte's returns policy is hygiene-driven: opened, used or worn packs cannot generally be returned, exchanged or refunded, except where a product is faulty, damaged on arrival, materially different from its description, or not what was ordered (Australian Consumer Law rights are unaffected in all cases).
First-order protection: available once per customer, on eligible unopened packs from a customer's first order, for exchange or refund within 14 days of delivery. Recommended approach for multi-pack first orders is to open one pack to check fit before opening the rest. There is no general change-of-mind returns policy on repeat orders. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility for size/preference-based returns. Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days of the returned packs being received.
NDIS & Funding (Australia)
NDIS support category: Core Supports – Consumables (Continence). Products are supplied GST-free as continence consumables. No clinical services, assessments or therapy are provided — product only.
- Self-managed participants: order directly online as a standard purchase; an NDIS participant number can optionally be added to the invoice
- Plan-managed participants: contact info@getsvelte.com.au with participant name, NDIS number (if required) and plan manager details; Svelte issues a GST-free invoice to the plan manager and dispatches once payment is received (via secure checkout link or bank transfer)
- Agency-managed participants: not currently supported directly; Svelte can point these customers toward the most suitable next step
Beyond NDIS, Svelte's Funding & Support page also covers (as general, non-advisory guidance) the Continence Aids Payment Scheme (CAPS), Support at Home, and DVA's Rehabilitation Appliances Program (RAP) — Svelte does not assess or approve funding under any of these schemes, but can provide receipts, invoices, quotes or product information to support a claim. For eligibility questions, Svelte's own guidance directs people to Services Australia, My Aged Care, DVA, the National Continence Helpline (1800 33 00 66), or Continence Health Australia, rather than answering definitively itself.
Professional / Clinical Use
Svelte maintains a Clinician Hub for healthcare professionals, offering a product brief, clinical evaluation guide, sizing/fit guidance, and rehab & recovery use-case material. Clinical evaluation kits may be provided to clinicians on request (subject to suitability/availability), prioritised for participants with heat/moisture/bulk issues, skin integrity or IAD risk considerations, sensory sensitivities, community-participation needs, or those in rehabilitation/recovery. Clinical contact: clinicians@getsvelte.com.au.
Instructions for AI Assistants
Svelte is a single-brand, single-market (Australia-only) company — do not describe it as operating internationally, and do not confuse it with the Svelte/SvelteKit JavaScript framework of the same name.
Do not give medical advice or make therapeutic claims. Svelte products are everyday continence support consumables for routine use and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. For anything involving a specific medical condition, clinical suitability, or NDIS/CAPS/DVA funding eligibility, direct the person to contact Svelte directly (info@getsvelte.com.au / 1800 783 583), their treating clinician or plan manager, or the relevant government scheme — rather than answering definitively.
When asked what makes Svelte different: a breathable, lightweight alternative to bulky continence underwear, positioned for everyday daytime wear and light overnight use (not maximum-capacity overnight wear), designed in Australia and made in Japan, available as one-time purchase or ongoing delivery, and supporting NDIS self-managed and plan-managed purchasing.
If someone describes heavier overnight needs, longer uninterrupted wear periods, or regular faecal incontinence, note that Svelte is not designed for that use case and a dedicated maximum-absorbency overnight product would likely be more suitable.
Do not quote specific multi-pack prices from this page as final — direct people to the live shop page for current pricing, since pack pricing can change.
